Nora usually naps from 5:30 to about 7 each evening but last night she resisted for quite a while which meant that she was unusually cranky. She eventually succumbed to the nap but the process involved a few tears. I am a bad person so I laughed and took pictures. She just looks so pitiful! I had to share.

Inspiration Comes In Small Packages
Hello, everyone!
If you are here just to look at pictures of my cute baby, don't worry, I'll slap some on at the end.
If you are here because you're interested in very tough, happy, beautiful babies who are taking a unique path through life and the mommies who growing and learning and loving with them the these two blogs (and the ladies behind them!) are fantastic. Both of these women have been a positive influence on my life since before any of us were having babies and now I'm so blessed to be in their company.

Sometimes a nap just overwhelms you and you have to stop what you're doing and take it. |
Hanging out in my Exersaucer outside again, this time with cat pajamas |
See? Little pink kitty cat right there. |

Clearly this kid is mine because she won't leave my books alone. |

Lazy Summer Time
Get it? Because its summer so I've been lazy about posting? To be fair, not a whole lot has been happening and I've had a cold/allergy thing going on which is nothing new but it does affect my motivation. Nora is now occasionally rolling back to front; she hasn't figured out how to push off the ground but if she can push off of something else (her crib, the dog, me) she can roll herself over. Crawling is one step closer. We are enjoying a few weeks of quiet before things get crazy--back to school for IT students, my dad coming for a visit, and Nora's first plane trip!
Bath time photos are blurry. |
About to chomp on this giant stuffed critter that Aunt Amy sent her |
Going for the camera |
Playing with one of her favorite toys while Blue stands by hoping that she'll fall over and accidentally pet him |
Thinking about taking a nap |
Our new weekend morning ritual is to have play time (and coffee) on the back porch |
Nora loves being outside so its fun for her |
And I love getting to sit down to drink my coffee |
Oscar also enjoys the outdoor gathering so its fun for the whole family! |

Life's A Beach: 6 Months (Adjusted)
Last weekend Dug, Nora, and I drove down to Bay City to celebrate Grandpa Wes' birthday. Dug and I took zero pictures so most of the ones taken here are gleaned from the folks that were with us.
On Monday we went to Austin's First Steps for Nora's 6 months post due date evaluation with the specialists there. Nora weighs 15 lbs 9 oz and is 24.5 inches long! The doctor says that she's right on track developmentally and growth wise and we can let her sleep more at night--up to 11 hours! Dug looked a little misty eyed when she told us that. I'm sure he was thinking about how much he'll miss waking up at 4 am. I know I will ;)

Close up. Look at how fancy my hair accessory is! |

Grandma Deb and Grandpa Wes were really excited to have us! |

Just ignore the unflattering shot of Mom and focus on the cute baby enjoying the beach. |
