5 months!

Do you remember what you were doing 5 months ago today? I know Sara and I won't forget anytime soon. Heck, I am still telling the story!

It seems to have flown by. Sara and I say that it seems Nora has always been with us.

Y'all aren't here for the mushy stuff, though. Y'all want the pictures of my little girl and her precious cheeks!

Swaddles are for chumps

Nora has decided that she does not want to be swaddled to sleep anymore. This results in us coming in to her room at night to find her with an appendage hanging out of the crib. Our little monster is growing up so fast!

Ready to roll

Nora appears to be getting ready to roll over. She rocks back and forth an makes it about 3/4 over and then stops. Eventually, she falls asleep in her mat and I don't have the heart to move her so she's been napping on the floor a bit. Here are some action shots.

Weekdays at home with Mom

So for the past couple of months UT has been letting me work part time so that I can stay home with Nora when Dug is at work. Today is my last day at home with Nora and I can't tell you how sad I am. We have a great daycare though and she is going to learn so much from her friends there. On to the next chapter!

April showers

So for the last month or so we've been eating one handed, showering in 5 minute increments, and spending as much time as possible loving on our sweet baby girl.  It feels like we go to a doctor's office every week but all of that doctor visiting has just confirmed that she's doing really well--growing like a weed and developing right on schedule.

A lot of firsts (and seconds) also happened--first wedding, first road trip, second road trip, first crawfish boil, second crawfish boil, and lots and lots of visiting.  Since we're mostly out of the cold and flu season and she's no longer wired we've been catching up with all of our friends and family near and far.

Here are a whole bunch of pictures and promises to update more regularly!

A little tired after my first visit to UT.  I got to meet the Registrar!

Tummy time

Nora helped us plant a garden.  Look, there are flowers on that tomato plant!

She has discovered her thumb and now prefers it to her pacifier

Easter fun

We took a road trip to Louisiana this past weekend I visit Sara's family. Overall the trip went well although it has become apparent that we've outgrown the Kia. Nora seems no worse for wear so we feel good about future trips.

One of Daddy's friends gave her a ridiculously large flower headband that we couldn't resist putting in her head. We tried to get some pictures of her in her fancy Easter outfit but she wasn't really in to it.
Here are a few pictures; more to come!
